Measure nose to tail
With your cat lying stretched out, measure from nose tip to base of tail.
Add 15-20cm

Straight answers
Why does my cat ignore every bed I buy?
Usually placement, not the bed. Cats want height, a wall at their back and a view of the entrance. Try the bed on a shelf, sofa arm or beside a radiator before giving up on it - and leave it unwashed for the first week so it picks up the room's smell.
Donut or cave - which one?
Donut for cats who sleep curled with their nose tucked in, cave for cats who hide under duvets and in boxes. If your cat sleeps stretched out on their side, skip both and buy a flat orthopaedic mat.
What size cat bed do I need?
Most adult cats are comfortable in a 45-50cm donut. Maine Coons, Ragdolls and other large breeds need 60cm or more. Kittens do better in something small and enclosed rather than a bed they will grow into.
Are self-warming beds safe to leave down all day?
Yes - they are not electric. A metallic layer inside reflects your cat's own body heat back, so there is nothing to plug in, time out or overheat.
How do I wash a cat bed without ruining it?
30°C on a gentle cycle, no fabric softener (cats dislike the smell and it flattens fibres), and air dry fully before use. Brush the loose hair off first or you will regret it at the filter.
